This is garbage and it does not work.

Is not garbage for me, is a good program, but under Windows 7 32 PRO it doesn't work on my pc (before I used B'n'T on Windows XP 32 PRO).

There is any news about this problem?

Thanks in advance for a reply.

Hi donzen,

yes, it definitely works on Windows 7. Is there any error message when running the program? Is it the missing MSCOMCTL.OCX? Did you try the link on the Microsoft website?

Hi,

For those trying to install on Windows 7, I found the following link...
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vbgeneral/thread/a6d06695-87b8-4fa6-8b9c-a3547829ab76

Bottom line:
- get the file from http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/mscomctl.zip
- copy it to \windows\system
- run the command prompt AS ADMINISTRATOR
- change directory: cd\windows\system
- type in "regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx" and hit enter

I also am running the program in Windows XP compatibility mode but am not sure if it is necessary.

I still use this useful program. The fix in W8.1 is somewhat different:

put MSCOMCTL.OCX in C:\Windows\SysWOW64
run cmd as administrator
type cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64
type regsvr32 MSCOMCTL

voila!
